Pearl of Africa Adventures is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone. We are continually improving the user experience for all visitors, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access.

Pearl of Africa Adventures takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Pearl of Africa Adventures is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Pearl of Africa Adventures, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known issues. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

• Images: Some older images may lack detailed alternative text descriptions. We are actively reviewing and updating image descriptions to provide more context.
• PDF Documents: Some linked PDF documents may not be fully optimized for screen readers. We are working to provide accessible versions of all essential documents.
• Dynamic Content: Some dynamically loaded content, such as interactive maps or third-party widgets, may present accessibility challenges. We are evaluating alternative solutions and working with vendors to improve accessibility.

• Alternative Text: Meaningful alternative text is provided for all images to assist screen reader users in understanding the content. For example:
• Keyboard Navigation: The website is designed to be fully navigable using a keyboard, allowing users who cannot use a mouse to easily access all content and functionality.
• Semantic HTML: We use semantic HTML elements to structure content logically and improve navigation for screen reader users.
• Clear and Consistent Navigation: The website features a clear and consistent navigation structure, making it easy for users to find the information they need.
• Sufficient Color Contrast: We ensure that there is sufficient color contrast between text and background elements to meet WCAG guidelines and improve readability.

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 2 business days and will provide a response within 10 business days outlining the steps we will take to address the issue.
